The Shadow commission piece I recently did. I really loved the old pulp comic feel, but I wanted to add more intensity to the character this time around. It was also composed to work as a variant cover or as a pin-up. I’m really glad that the comic world has brought this classic character back successfully. -L

This was a commission piece that I received while at Heroes Con last weekend. Instead of doing a traditional pin-up for Abe Sapien, I decided to place him underwater, clutched by a monster’s tentacles who is dragging him further under. I wanted it to feel more like a full page spread of a cover rather than just a bust, which I would love to do as well in the near future. I may also decide to color this illustration in time, but for now I will leave it as an intense black and white piece. -Logan

This was a commission I received from Shelli Paroline whilst at Heroes Con this past weekend. Yes, it’s Julia Child as a spy. It took me a while to really grasp and conceive how this could work, but I think I managed. Check out her Adventure Time comics and other work here http://shelligator.tumblr.com/

Just wanted to share one of my commission pieces because it was of a character I hadn’t heard from in a long while; Static Shock. I remember watching this show back in 2000 when it was introduced. What ever happened to this superhero? He even fought alongside the JLA at one point or another. Maybe the economy got to him and the Justice League had to lay him off? We may never know. - L

A little character design I did last night in order to take a break. I wanted to make something cute and childish, which meant illustrating a hedgehog named “Hedgy”, holding a button and wearing a thimble. Let the cute ensue.

So, not that this is a finished piece by any means (but it is for an undisclosed project I’m working on), I thought it was pretty funny on its own, so I decided to do a quick post today. This is actually one layer of three in the final piece, but for now, enjoy this awkward segment.

Here is the first page of a 12pg comic that I’m working on for another anthology. This one deals with the theme of “Metal”, and the story that I and Austin Wilson, aka “Hideous Energy”, are working on is titled “Six Barrel Shotgun”. The story opens with a large one page spread of the heroine named “Crater”. Tune in to find out more in the coming weeks! It’s going to be brutal. -L

I’m currently wrapping up a project that I’ve been working on with Erik Craddock. The story is a 15 page comic that will appear in an upcoming anthology being printed and distributed by Ape Entertainment about the seven deadly sins; our story is “Envy”. It won’t be released until later this year, but for now I will leave you with this preview of the first “title” page. I’m yet to include dialogue, so it’s up to you to create it for now. Stay tuned for more soon! I’m also working on two other comics as well and I’ll have updates on those titles soon as well. -L

For the last week or so I’ve been working on some designs for a website. They are Boston based start-up company that deals with finding and comparing auto-repair shops’ pricing and availability. This illustration was for the homepage. The first one I did on the left was a bit too “my style” and didn’t quite fit the feel we were going for on the site. The second one was the revamped version that was a bit more architectural and sleek, which better fir the style we were aiming for. Each one stays true to and represents the overall palette of the page.

The final six illustrations for the stock image series I’ve been working on for the past couple of weeks.

Here’s my final colored piece for the blog Brand New Nostalgia. This week’s theme was “Space”, and since I have been planning a second children’s book that is based around Dinosaurs in Space, I thought that I may as well do a character design for the book. I’ll hopefully have more to share on this project soon. Stay tuned!
