While drawing a few Marvel characters I thought that I’d tackle two of my favorite female characters; Sue Richards and Jean Grey. I love their more vintage look and wanted to represent that in a more modern theme.

So, not that either of these characters are related in any way other than the fact they’re both Marvel properties, but I’m posting them together because they were gifts for my brother, who I just visited this weekend. Knowing he was/is a huge comic book fan, I wanted to give him some personalized art as a much belated Christmas present. By his request, the characters he wanted were Dr. Doom and Scarlet Witch (having just failed to win the lottery on repeated attempts). They were a ton of fun to do and I always love doing commissions for people, so I wanted to share them. Hope you like them!

Months ago I had begun working on a short 12 page comic with my friend and writer Austin Wilson (austinRwilson.tumblr.com) for an anthology piece inspired by “Metal”. That project ended up falling through along with the already illustrated pages. I wasn’t sure what was going to come of the project, so I had not touched the pages since. Recently however, I’ve decided to finish the comic and have begun adding color. I plan to sell it as a mini and use it as a fun promotional piece for various cons. Here is a preview from a full colored page in the story.

Here’s a preview of a single page spread from issue 2 of “Re-pro-duct”. The second issue is fully written and is almost completely inked, so it won’t be long before you can get your hands on both of the first issues. Each comic is 24pgs, so there’s a lot to see, meet and enjoy! Check them out! Thanks everyone!

Once again you can download our first issue for FREE from the 215Ink App found for the iPad in the iTunes store! ( http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/215-ink/id449585609?mt=8 ) The printed edition of the first issue will be available soon and I will be selling and signing copies at the upcoming Heroes Con in North Carolina!

Secondly, I apologize for my lack of recent posting, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been working hard. Over the past month or so I’ve been developing three comics, an e-book, a painting, and working on my start-up design company, “Dobot” (pronounced do-bot). There will be much more to come very soon regarding all of these projects.

You can see more of our publisher’s fantastic line-up at www.215ink.com

Thanks again for all your love and support! Keep creating!

I’m currently wrapping up a project that I’ve been working on with Erik Craddock. The story is a 15 page comic that will appear in an upcoming anthology being printed and distributed by Ape Entertainment about the seven deadly sins; our story is “Envy”. It won’t be released until later this year, but for now I will leave you with this preview of the first “title” page. I’m yet to include dialogue, so it’s up to you to create it for now. Stay tuned for more soon! I’m also working on two other comics as well and I’ll have updates on those titles soon as well. -L

Here is the final colored version of Catwoman. As said, I will be selling this image as a print at the many upcoming conventions (BostonCon and HeroesCon) but will also be selling them online. If interested, please contact me at loganfaerber@gmail.com or message me here on tumblr. The print can be to whatever size you’d like. Hope you like it!

Prints can be found here…

Yesterday, I did this rendition of Catwoman while I was recuperating from sickness.  I wanted to represent her as a strong, powerful and sultry, much like the Adam Hughes’ character design. In this version though she has longer hair and has been more abstracted with my style. Today I hope to color this piece, which I will post here on tumblr as soon as it’s done. I will be selling the original inking of this illustration. Also, once the colored piece is finished, I will be turning it into prints that I will both sell online and at the upcoming BostonComicCon and HeroesCon. If interested in a copy, please email me at loganfaerber@gmail.com or message me directly here on tumblr. I hope you like it!
